It’s hard to say who was more excited for the first day of school – the girls or the grownups. Not that we haven’t enjoyed having the girls home all summer, it is just time to have them back in school. I never understood why mom was so excited when school started again – now I get it. We made all of the normal back to school preparations. Caroline brought the girls shopping for school supplies. We both brought then shopping for new clothes. We found some super cute clothes at Old Navy and Target to go along with the clothes we bought at the end of the season last year.
Both girls needed new backpacks. The last few years the girls both had pink backpacks which made it hard to tell who had left their backpack out. Caroline decided it was worth spending a little more to have one that would last a little bit longer. We found two cute backpacks. The only problem, who got which one. Caroline, in her brilliance, discovered that the frames of their glasses matched the backpacks….problem solved. The girls were so excited when they discovered their backpacks matched their glasses. Now it will be so much easier to tell who left their backpack out.
