2 Minutes Makes All the Difference

It’s amazing that only 2 minutes separate these sweet boys. Genetically, they are identical, but they are so very different in so many ways. This past week they turned 19 months old. Seriously, I can’t believe they are that old already, but at the same time they have really grown up.Jonathan was born first, but like the tenderhearted brother that he is, he let his brother crawl and walk first. Jonathan has such a kind little soul. Jonathan is a thinker. He knew the buttons on the front of the TV did something important and he worked and worked at it until he was able to have the strength to actually turn it on and off. He, like his daddy, likes computers. He has a smile that can light up a room. He also has a stubborn side – shocking right? Like his sister Sarah, he is a picky eater. We have struggled to get food in him at times. It is just a matter of finding the right thing – but give him something sweet and he will usually eat it right up.

Matthew is a go getter – first to crawl and first to walk. He is easily frustrated when things aren’t going the way he wants them to, but is usually easy to calm. He loves peanut butter sandwiches. Lately he has discovered mom’s pile of shoes and loves to wear them. It is so cute – and a little silly. Matthew is a cuddle bug and loves to sit on your lap – especially if you are sitting at the computer.

Both boys have started talking a little bit. They say simple words like down and more. Of course they say daddy and mom. They say mo which means milk. They both can say no although you don’t really know if they understand what they are saying all of the time. Both boys love to go for walks and for drives. You even mention walk or drive and they are at the gate ready to go.

Simply said, I LOVE these boys. They sure do wear me out, but they make my day each and every day. They are little angels most of the time and even when they aren’t, you gotta love them anyway. Tonight they were fighting over the empty diaper box. When Matthew gets upset he squeals so loudly! Our reaction was to put them in the box and push them around. Laughs and giggles are so much more fun than the screams and squeals.
