In just a few weeks my sweet Rachel will be 10. WOW…when did she grow up? She told me today she was given a special assignment for math because she is doing so well in her class. She is so smart (just like her mommy) and tries so hard to do things right. She is easily distracted (also, just like her mommy) which makes this difficult at times. She LOVES to read and has recently become very good at Mario Kart on my Wii. It has become a new family favorite. She loves to make the boys laugh.
She loves to make the boys laugh.
Sarah is 6 ½ . She too is smart and picked up on reading so well. She points things out all of the time and sometimes tell us the same things over and over and over again until she knows we know she knows…does that make sense? She loves to help with her brothers. We have to remind her about personal space way too much with them, but it is only because she loves them so much. She, like me, loves chocolate. She has even discovered a love a dark chocolate. She has got to be the pickiest eater I have ever met. We are hoping it is just a phase which will pass with time.
Grandma made brownies for a New Year's Eve party. Sarah didn't leave much of the batter on the mixer - "brownie batter, yummy!"As far as the boys, they continue to grow. They are now 11 months old. JJ finally figured out how to crawl…we are so proud of him! Scooter is nearly walking. He is into everything and can’t be left alone for too long. They are both so determined and smart. They find something they want and can find a way to get it. It is fun to watch them troubleshoot their way to solve the problem. Cute…really doesn’t begin to describe them.
Grandma sharing some of her wisdom with Scooter.JJ had to have his turn with grandma too.
How can you not love the eyes? He had a huge pile of toys but didn't want to play with any of them...he wanted my Diet Dr. Pepper. Who knew...cheap toy right?
JJ has his cell phone and his keys...he's ready to hit the town. (in his pj's of course) JJ can now pull himself up. He is so proud of himself!
The first time JJ pulled himself up to crawl we were at a funeral luncheon. Not the most appropriate place to take a picture, but one must capture these moments. Scooter won't be called Scooter for long. He is nearly walking. Notice the baby gates on the entertainment system in the background...nothing's safe anymore.
Scooter has become a picky eater like his older sister Sarah. He will take a few bites then starts to rub it all over his face. The look was so cute, I couldn't resist.
And then...
Poor Scooter developed clogged tear ducts from rubbing his cereal in his eyes. How sad is that? He looks so miserable.
