My family is full of girls. I am the middle of three girls - no brothers. My father had one sister, no brothers. My mom - who also is the middle of three - is the only one with brothers, and she had two of them. Needless to say, when we found out that the twins my sister was carrying were boys, we were excited and slightly afraid. Boys are so very different. From the first second we met them, we were all in love! Here they are only a few hours old. Thing 1 and Thing 2, as we called them. Thing one (on the right) weighed 6 lbs 12 oz. Thing two (on the left) weighed 5 lbs 12 oz.
The boys are now 6 months old. We have taken thousands of pictures and have made countless memories with them. Even though they are twins, they are extremely different. Thing 1 we call J.J. (whic

h are his initials). Thing 2 we call Scooter because he can get just about wher

ever he wants to go by rolling and scooting himself along. They bring smiles to my face each and every time I see them, but they have their fair share of tantrums. This week we had the pleasure of introducing cereal to the boys. It was quite the adventure. J.J. isn't quite sure about it yet, but Scooter LOVES his food. Scooter has two teeth on the bottom and loves to chew on anything. J.J. has one tooth that just appeared today. Scooter can roll from tummy to back and back to tummy without any help. J.J. likes to play on his back and doesn't seem interested in turning over yet.

They have their father's curls...The picture on the right is scooter right after his bath. The picture on the left is J.J. just before having his bath. My mom ordered Brown eyed brown haired grandchildren and ended up with blonde and blue. My oldest niece does have green eyes, but she is definarely a blonde like her parents.
They are little angels! Right?

Their sister has been a world of help. Rachel just started 4th grade and Sarah 1st. They are so much fun and at times too much help with brothers.

Catherine, I love your blog. It is fabulous. Your twin nephews are so adorable. I can't believe they're 6 months already! And Sarah is growing up too. I also loved your first post - about how fast time has flown by and a few of the things you've learned. You are such an inspiration to me. Keep up the good blogging work! I'm adding your blog to ours...
